Robert Werness - President / Owner
Born in St. Croix Falls, WI, attended Richfield High School, and graduated from University of Minnesota with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Started working for Bolduc in 1967. Just celebrated 39th wedding anniversary to wife and company director, Diane. Lives in Brooklyn Park, MN.
Lance Werness - Vice President / Safety Director
Born in Minneapolis, attended Burnsville High School, class of '87, graduated from the University of Minnesota. Lives in Champlin, MN. Married to wife Carol, has two daughters Taylor and Reily, and Haley a Golden Retriever. Enjoys time with family and friends, golfing and playing hockey.
Sandra Karasch - Bookkeeper
Born, raised and lives in Anoka, MN. Attended Anoka High School. Has a Wizard of Oz collection that has been featured on the Home and Garden Channel. Married to Jim, has a son Bryce and a Boston Terrier named Dolly.
Lee D. Bolduc - Superintendent Pile Driver
Minneapolis native, served 4 years in the military, worked on projects in southern, eastern and north eastern U.S, but mainly in the Midwest. Joined Local 1847 in May 1978. Lee is married and has 4 children and 4 grandchildren. His hobbies include fishing, golf and woodworking.
Timothy Chrysler - Yard Superintendent / Crane Operator
Member of I.U.O.E. since 1988 and joined L.H. Bolduc Company in the same year. Tim's skills include operating as well as repair on all equipment required in the pile driving field. Tim has two children Jenny and Jason. When Tim retires he wants to become a Cow-Boy and live out west.
Glenn - Pile Driver / Foreman / Certified Welder / Hazmat Certified
Born and raised in Wisconsin. After completing High School he entered and proudly served his Country in the United States Marine Corps. Upon discharge of the service he joined the apprenticeship program for the pile drivers and became a member of Local 1847 in 1985. Glen started working for the L.H. Bolduc Company in 1991. Glen is married with three children. In his spare time he enjoys bow hunting and in the winter he races cars on the ice.
Wayne Neis – Crane Operator
Wayne is a member of I.U.O.E. Local 49 since 1973. Wayne is CCO, Forklift and Hazardous Material Certified.
Jim Erickson – Mechanic / Truck Driver / Forklift Operator
Jim is a member of local 49 Operating Engineers. D.O.B. in October 20, 1943. He was raised in Duluth, MN. He graduated in 1961 from Duluth Denfeld High School. He is a Viet Nam Veteran. Jim has worked in construction since 1970. Jim lives in Floodwood, MN.
Jim Mechelke – Pile Driver / Foreman / Certified Welder
Born and raised in St. Paul, attended St. Bernard's High School and served 4 years in the U.S. Army. Jim became a Pile Driver in 1989. Jim lives in Chisago City, married to Cheryl and has a son Billy and a daughter Olivia. Jim coaches hockey at Chisago Lake Hockey Association and enjoys target shooting and hunting.
Mike Engrav – Pile Driver / Certified Welder
Mike was born in La Crosse, WI, raised in Spring Grove, MN. He attended Spring Grove High School and went to college for two years. He has worked construction in southeast MN for a few years and joined the Pile Drivers in 1998. Mike became a certified welder in 2003. He enjoys golfing and hunting, he now lives in Burnsville, MN.
Thomas S. Perrier - Pile Driver Foreman / Certified Welder / MnDot., HazMat., Certified.
President of Pile Drivers Local 1847, Delegate to the Lakes and Plains Regional Council, Delegate to the Pacific Coast Council of Pile Drivers. HazMat Instructor, OSHA 500 Instructor, Joined the apprenticeship in 1985. Grew up in Bloomington, Graduated from J. F. Kennedy, Sr. High. Wife Lisa, Customs Broker. Son Ryan 19, Freshmen at N. D. U., Daughter Taylor 8, 2nd grade, double purple stripe in karate. Tom likes to hunt and fish, and is a Minnesota Wild hockey fan. He also enjoys working at the oldest and best pile driving company in Minnesota, the L.H. Bolduc Company.
Kurt Walker – Foreman / Certified Welder
Kurt is a member of Pile Driver’s Local #1847. He is a 2nd generation pile driver, son of Buzzy Walker, employed by Bolduc Construction for 35 years (retired in 2000). Kurt was born and raised in White Bear Lake and graduated from White Bear High School. Kurt lives in Brooklyn Center with his wife Bethany and 3-year old daughter Hailey. Kurt joined the pile driver’s apprenticeship program in 1994; he received his welding certification in 1997. Kurt enjoys motorcycling, hunting and spending time with his family.
Ralph Schaefbauer – Piledriver / Welder
Ralph is a member of the Local #1847. He was born in 1954 in South Dakota. Raised in Minneapolis and attended North High School. He joined the Piledrivers apprenticeship in the mid 80’s. He lives in North Minneapolis. Ralph has two sons who are piledrivers, Nick and Adam, and a daughter, Miranda. Ralph enjoys fishing, sailing, movies and playing cards.
